In celebration of Sarinah’s 64th anniversary and Indonesia’s 81st Independence, Buttonscarves and Sarinah present a collaboration honoring the beauty of Indonesian heritage.

THE ORIGIN

Rooted in Indonesia’s rich Songket tradition, this collection honors a heritage shaped by identity, artistry, and craftsmanship carried across generations.

REIMAGINATION

Songket is a traditional handwoven textile distinguished by gold or silver threads that create intricate motifs with a luminous finish. In this collection, its artistry is reimagined through Nona Manis, symbolizing grace and femininity, and Pegunungan, reflecting nature and endurance.

“Every piece of Indonesian wastra holds a story of artistry, identity, and generations of craftsmanship. This collaboration is our way of honoring that legacy.”

- Mifthahul Jannah, Creative Director of Buttonscarves
